: : : Is anyone interested in using a VHF or UHF Repeater radio system in the METRO Seattle Area OR OTHER AREAS??? VHF OR UHF ??? Anyone have a TALL Hilltop or Tower ???

: : I'm interested. If someone can cough up the tower space, I have a 35-watt repeater that I built from an old UHF Motorola Pulsar RCC mobile phone. It would probably need a PL board and 12-volt power source though. Unfortunately the only tower space I have access to is on Devils Mountain which would only cover Skagit Co, Island Co, and north Snohomish Co.

: Its funny to see this given that there have been several similar efforts over the years. The main problem is as soon as you move something to a high site that will actually cover puget sound, someone has to pay rent on a tower site. Then everyone looses interest...

: In any case, I have multiple GMRS repeaters up that serve all areas of puget sound. If anyone want to put a group together and help me pay DNR for the annual rents, I'd love to have users on them.

: Spencer.

As my younger - but sometimes wiser brother often days " Think POSSITIVE me buckoo". And all I can says is "Why and the hell are you talking like a drunk Irishman?"

Spencer - What Freqs/What Sites do you have and How much would it cost to Have a CLUB PL tone in one or more repeaters. I aa aware that several Seattle radio Engineers/reporters use 462.575 in North Seattle. ABC Communications HAD/has a repeater on the channel. IS 462.675 ever used by traffic reporters or REACT groups in the Metro Seattle area??? 462.65/462.70 are Canadian Restricted. Is there a channel that YOU can offer or seggest that we use. Is there a way that we can pay like DUES? Which leads us into MAYBE should have a MONTHLY or Bi-Monthly Meeting or Get togather - SOME WHERE - A Home, Business or Restaurant. OK - ONE NO for Jack in the box, two nos for Micky D, and four nos for Sambos or Dennys. - YOU CAN ALL SPEAK UP NOW - DO you want to get togather - SOMETIME - to EXCHANGE information and GOOD Times - or NOT. A common radio channel COULD HELP. WE (A Non-Profit Club) can apply for a Business band channel or our own. OR USE GMRS - WHICH IS VERY GOOD. Maybe Spencer will help. Spencer, What can you do for US. Any ideas? I have several UHF radios. I am sure a lot of others have or can get a UHF radio - Portable or Mobile or even a base station. We could put togather a repeater for the North on a GMRS channel - Say on Divils Mtn. What about Seattle and Tacoma Coverage.
