A big international sports gathering, the World Athletics Championships in progress in the Eugene area,

https://worldathletics.org/competitions ... s/oregon22

I have been here working for a few days but was not here most of the prep days. Trying to figure out the event communications, have seen Kenwood UHF portables. Definitely some trunking as one radio I had in my hand said out of range.

On the broadcasting side, it is being covered for various world networks and TBS is carrying some events. Some of the TV comms are using T-band UHF channels:

482.2000
482.3000
482.6125
482.6500
482.7500
482.8250

More as I get it...

There is a heavy police presence, mostly Eugene PD and Lane County and Oregon State Patrol. But there is some federal DoD on site as well. There are a number of the dark blue Civil Support trucks that show up at these big gatherings. Here is one that is parked at Hayward Field, and I've seen number of others as well;

A quick update to some information I posted earlier -

First, the T-band channels used by the TV coverage are using 6.25 KHz spacing on some frequencies. Here is an updated list:

482.09375 - IFB
482.20625 - Intercom
482.30000 - Intercom
482.46875 - IFB
482.50625 - IFB
482.61875 - IFB
482.65625 - Intercom
482.75000 - Intercom
482.82500 - Intercom
482.95625 - IFB
482.97500 - IFB

I found today that the overall event communications are using Kenwood NXDN radios on the Fleetnet/Silke trunked system;

https://www.radiotoolshed.com/db/sid/9923

I am only listening to Site 1 in Eugene, but so far all the event communications are using talk groups in the 4xx range. I recorded a bunch of the traffic during the women's marathon this morning and will try and figure out what talk group is what channel on our radios. They are labeled WAC 1 thru 16.
