That's the VHF vehicular repeater used by CHP. That's the frequency that the old "Bear Tracker" scanner used to listen to for activity, which meant a CHP unit was near by.

They are beginning to move to localized 700 MHz P-25 frequencies for the mobile extenders, this still shows up now and again.

No, this sounded like a city PD or Sheriff's department. There was a dispatch on a DV in progress at an apartment somewhere, a few traffic stops and a BOLO notice from "Metro".

None of the "Station-xx" that CHP uses.
