Hmm...programmed the new control channel(s), but still no worky. I seem to recall that some radios will be obsolete. Perhaps that time has come for my BC785D?

Any help is appreciated!

Nevermind. Just found info regarding my scanner on the site. Over and done with for my scanner (on KC's system). Procuring a new one soon. Recommendations?

Flash can you please post the alternates for KC when you have them? Just like 853.175 I cannot copy 853.425 very well from my QTH. Must have reduced power or something as both were pretty loud before...

Not too much of a guru on the Phase-II that you mention, but I'm assuming that has to do with Narrowbanding? So whatever radio I get has to be Phase-II capable and operate on the KC replacement system?

Thanks.

No it has nothing to do with Narrow-banding and yes it must support P25 Phase 2 or it will NOT work on the future KC system.

Phase 2 scanners: http://www.scannermaster.com/category_s/708.htm

The 996P2 or the 325P2 are probably the most user-friendly and the best value. The other scanners are decent but offer more advanced features at higher cost.

PS. You can get better pricing elsewhere than the link above. The link was useful to show a complete list of Phase 2 scanners.

The database is updated for the simo sites. I haven't cleaned up all the others, site numbers are offset on some but I believe the control channel freqs are pretty good.

Magic. BTW, EPSCA has two additional alternates now on 854.x and 856.x -- I can post those later tonight when I get home.

EPSCA:

851.4375c
852.8875a
854.2375a
856.7875a

Some of us use the Trunk88 numbers, some use the Moto numbers... we really should standardize.
