Franz you can buy the RTL SDR for $20. It receives 64-2Ghz... something like that...

It does not support US, Canada, Japan, Singapore users due to different digital standard.

Jim, that is meaningless when it comes to using the chipset as a SDR. They are referring to the DVB standard for getting digital TV over the air.

The newer R820T chipset is the newest version of RTL SDR chipset. It's the best one if you want to use it for ADS-B tracking, etc.
