Last time I was over that way, their security was on 152.375 simplex...But that was 10 years ago.

ETA- the only license I can find is WPMM347, for the above VHF freq.

There's a new one for the tribal Police, 159.1725 repeater, input on 156.0525. Repeater listed as being on "Status Pass lookout"....Wonder if that's near Satus Pass?

Security in the casino all had UHF radios and Tribal PD cops in there had mixed kenwood/motorola VHF.

As far as I know Tribal PD is active on the .775. I'll try the new one and let you know.

K, but that license is still pending, and has been offlined since October...

Nope, they're still BNSF, and will be indefinitely.

What's the difference?

The conversation was about delaying the train in Puyallup for two minutes; I watched the conductor leaning out the door on the next-but-one car talking on his portable. That's what the railroad service search stopped on. No tone.

There's a railroad tie replacing company operating through downtown Puyallup called Midwest something-or-other, operating on RR 12, 160.290 (CSQ).

They were working around a signal thing in Puyallup, talking about how far from it they were, and working on getting all the little track-running pickups and odd machine things into a siding or something...A guy in all hi-vis orange walked right by me, yakking into his portable. On spectrum sweeper, I was hearing him as I was watching him.

maybe they are using a different PBX channel. I haven't followed UP and their mobile tel's for quite awhile. It should have a different input.

The Bethel repeater might be buses, I know someone who uses a multi-channel radio there as a teacher for bus loading and I think they have a simplex ch.

Uh, yeah. What you said.

I know nothing about RR comms, sorry.

I wasn't hearing the other end of whoever he was talking to about the distance from the signals, but he kept talking to all the other (6-8) rail-running vehicles on there.
