I'm guessing site-119 and 120 are Kootenai County areas.

Just as an aside, if, as I believe, site 119 is on Mica or Calispell, I am impressed. I am sitting in the basement of some friends' house here in Spokane, and the radio sitting next to me, at about 5' below grade, is tracking that site at 102% decode rate. Nearest window faces southeast, and has half a culvert pipe keeping the earth back, for another 2 feet.

Damn good coverage.

102% decode rate, huh? What type of radio is this? I will ask Santa for it.

That's the number Pro96Com was giving me. The radio itself only appears to go to 99%.

Regardless, it has awesome coverage.

Don't they tend to associate with State sites? Depending on where you're at overthere, WSP is on Mt. Spokane (5800') and ISP is on Mica (6000').

Here's a great example of what I was talking about above. This screen shot was taken a few minutes ago. The scanner (PSR500) is sitting on the below-grade basement floor on Spokane's South Hill. At floor level, it's 7' below grade. The only window faces south, away from Mica Peak. The window is at the bottom of a 4 foot half-culvert.

If a consumer-grade scanner is getting that good of a receive rate, what would a professional-grade HT get? I still stand by my declaration that Spokane should have built out a subset of the ICAWIN system. But what do I know?
