Rusty started American Ambulance in 1966 to replace a funeral home type of service. (guy who bought the movie ambulance) He had struggles along the way and in 1999, Prosser Memorial Hospital bought the fleet and operation and kept it running. I thought through budget problems the service went TU within the last couple of years but at the WSP memorial Friday, I saw one of the ambulances pictured in the herald article. I don't recall how the levy turned out, but with more digging, I'm sure one could find it on the internet.
