After the recent Freemont Fire I was thinking it might be interesting to set up a scanner to Record Tactical Fire Talk Groups. Like for SNOPAC I would set it up to record Tac 2, 4, and 6. What is the best way to Record ?
I know you can use computer software or some scanners have Line Out to a Tape Recorder?
I use
ID Tracker 3. Patch cable from the scanner audio output to the line in/mic jack, records through the sound card into neatly sperated files. It's been a lifesaver for ID'ing seldom used stuff.

Don't feel bad if you can't use your STD100/200; there are still people using Digital Frequency Search!Bunnery definition for the under-fives
