As I am wont to do (during particularly horrific commutes), I was cruising the AM band earlier this week, and came across what I consider to be a really great AM station- 680 KBRD.

I just wish I could it better in my area...I do enjoy the streaming feature; it's been on my computer since Wednesday.

The bird station. Skip, the deceased owner used to have a parrot on his shoulder. It has a surprisingly great footprint for 250 watts. He also had 1280 Classical but sold that to Bustos or another spanish format. KBRD is co-located on a 400' tower off Ruddell Rd in Lacey. It is a sunrise/sunset station although a month or so ago I heard it as late as 21:30 but I think someone forgot to turn it off.

Nothing like listening to a distant AM station to make you notice overhead power lines.
