DVR is the only way I watch TV now.

I ditched Direct Tv and cable - I have been watching everything online with XBMC which has a built in DVR\PVR and EPG capability. I think the days of cable and Satellite TV are numbered. You can also watch all kinds of stuff live stream- Fox, CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC, CBS etc and tens of thousands of channels...

I'm with ya...

When that was posted I was living in a remote area.
Sat TV and Internet.
Landline.
Ham radio.

The Sat Internet connection was quite slow.

LOL! I hadn't realized the post was from 2011...
You tried XBMC with apps (like navi-X or USTVNow?)

No.
I don't really watch enough TV.
Rainy days and hours of darkness maybe.
