Now Click "Modern Music". Still owned by Sandusky; the format is "modern AC/alt-gold", what I can only liken to a hybrid of KGY-FM and KNDD-FM's gold. Inagurating themselves with 10,000 songs (along with legal IDs and sweepers). I normally only listen to KNHC-FM, but I've been listening for the past 20 minutes and it's not bad. Better than KJAQ-FM.

Arbitron shows they were going downhill, not that three months is any indication

Flip was some time on Dec 27. Radio Info has some good banter.

Where are all the AM stations ???? Turn off all the AM's and save the electric power. Another good reason to take the lower TV channels - from 2 - 6 and turn them into a new FM band and move all the AM stations over to the new FM band. Thats not going to happen - but whats even worse is giving any UHF TV channel over for wireless cellphone use -- as proposed by the FCC.

AM all-night radio shows used to be of interest.
Nothing but sports, gawd & politics now.

You can't take away the last granted 50,000 watt licensed monster KTNN in Window Rock Arizona

Take away a 50,000 watt blow torch -- NO WAY. BUT -- get rid of all the dead wood !!. Take a look at the ratings. ALL are FULL POWER -- Day & Night operations with 5,000 watts or more. AND all are almost below 1200 Khz. The lower band - with better coverage. ALL of the top AM stations have a power of at least 5 KW. Get rid of all daytimers -- and make a limit of 1 kw Day + Night for all stations. Clean up the AM band -- and move all the other stations over to a NEW FM Band. --- MOVE all low powered TIS stations over to FM as well. TV channels 2 - 3 + 4 (54 - 72 Mhz) as a new "Over flow FM Band" for low powered local FM and TIS stations. TV channels 5 & 6 (76-88 Mhz) as the extended FM band -- for all of the AM Daytimers to relocate to. Give AM stations a FM Classed channel -- equal to or better than the existing AM coverage area.

No I want the 530-1610 monsters to stay where they are. It's a source of entertainment, especially the one at George.

That George station is about as good as it gets. Too bad they are low power. They should buy the LORAN antenna down the road.

I agree -- leave all of the power house stations on the AM Band. But any station - that remains as a "Daytimer" or is below 1 KW -- move off the band to FM. Clear UP the AM band. Make it clear again. Get rid of Digital on AM - it doesn't work. Nor is it needed. Give more room for other stations to increase power.
