With the switch less than a year away, I'm surprised there is not any discussion here on it.
I'm so cheap, I still have an old PX purchased 19" pos.

I just picked up a Samsung 52". Picks up the off-air 1080i HDTV without any problems. Unfortunately some stations run too much compression on their 480i SDTV which makes it look real pixelly. This is too bad as 480i is supposed to be a superior replacement for NTSC.

There is one station where I live that does that too. I doubt they'll care, this close to the switch.
A 52" 1080i. Wow. Californy good for you!

I'm enjoying the HD over-the-air broadcasts. Especially the PBS HD channel (Ch. 9.5). It looks great...

BUR, put in for a coupon....you can keep your 19" POS going for awhile longer...no HD, but it will keep going.

Naw, I'll go ahead and purchase a new one.
I've seen HD (looks good). Now that the DVD thing is over with.
