Hey Fatboy. (haha, you had it coming). I've never been to the Forest District you're talking about, but if I were going here is what I would do: 1st- USFS L/E in WA. get there data and stuff from WSP radio. I knew a LE guy in OR. for the USFS, told me they where on county radio. 2nd- check the 'district' freqs at night for the L/E car to car stuff. They will be there after the 'maintenence' Rangers go home at 1700 (or so). I will check to see if I have some USFS Distric freqs, & post. |

bob OSP PDX to the Summit of Mt Hood will be 154.935. OSP East of the Mt Hood Summit will be 154.785. This covers all the way to Prineville, as well as south to Bend Also, watch out for Warm Springs Reservation PD. Hiway 26 runs through the res, and they work it. Warm Springs PD should be 155.490. All of the above are repeaters, so you should not have any trouble hearing them. And for a travel tip... Warms Springs Market is a few blocks off the main road, on the right, as you are going down the hill into Warm Springs. If you get a chance to stop in, it's a pretty cool place. In the back is a "museum" of sorts. Lots of original native stuff. My favorite is a woven mat the owner dug out from under 3' of dirt in a cave up in the Cascades. It was radio-carbon dated by UW to approx 400 AD. If you stop in tell Bob or Maria (the owners) I said hi. 73's, and have fun, I love the Ochocos. Nick N7QOR |

Its all 150mhz out here. Master-III's with an Alcatel microwave backbone. I monitored some 220mhz ACSSB in Seattle. Its real tight, best to have a very stable oscillator to listen to it. |

I heard that the OSP was going to use the new 220 mhz as a back-up. And I keep seeing new stations being added. Klamath Falls has the 220 on Moore Hill. I wonder what they are planning ?? MTM |
