I read where it said Portland has completed their rebanding. Have switched everything to their new system/shut down the other one? Are people able to monitor or have they put in that "reshuffle" I believed it was called as they are planning to do in King County? Do you need a P25 receiver to listen now?

Many thanks,

They did a reband on 1 simulcast control channel which means the older the scanners won't track completely. Some of the other intellipeters were rebanded too. Still analog but the new P25 700mhz is being tweaked as we speak and the money to fund it was passed this month. I don't think I did a reshuffle on my pro 197, just a win500 setting took care of it.

And for the record, when the new system is fully up and running, they will be running parallel to each other for quite some time.

What is the status of PDX rebanding? I was in the area last weekend and wasn't picking up much. Are they running both systems at this time?

Many thanks,

Wayne

Yes, the 800 is still running...the 700 system is a long ways away from being operational still.
