For those of you who might have occasion visit Cannon Beach, OR, . . . here are some freq updates:

CLATSOP COUNTY, OR. Area Frequencies

156.150 R 179.9 Oregon State Police:

Astoria
155.250 77.0 Police Disp.

Cannon Beach
155.1975 192.5 Cannon Beach LIFEGUARDS
155.895 156.7 "MEDIX" EMS Service
155.790 173.8 Cannon Beach Public Works

Seaside
154.385 R 127.3 Fire Disp. repeater
155.650 R 173.8 Police

Amateur Radio

146.740 R 118.8 -.600 Arch Cape (2,400 ft) (Cannon Beach) (W7BU)

Try as I might, . . . I just wasn't quick enough on the draw to capture the signal of the Parking Enforcement (read: "Tourist Information") Officers. Sorry, the wife distracted (read: did not encourage) my efforts.

I actually have the tones somewhere written for Clatsop SO...I should find them. I want to say they are same as Medix EMS though but could be wrong.

Are you sure about the Police frequency? There are frequencies of 154.650 and 155.550 listed for Seaside but 155.650 doesn't follow the logical channel progression.

Cannon Beach PD is on same freq as Seaside PD . Believe they are 600 series ID's . Seem to have misplaced my notes from the trip :(

Seaside and CBPD are on the same 154.650. Getting few different PL tones on the Repeater though. Units talk and the tone is 179.9, They quit and it goes to just carrier and its 173.8. Also have heard units talking with 173.8 showing up and switching to 179.9 when dispatcher comes on the air.

Canon Beach PWD freq reveals LE type radio traffic. (Same freq as Clatsop Co. SO) 173.8 tone.

WSP in Lewis County is simplex. Dispatcher CSQ, troops 136.5 tone.

Lewis Co. SO Repeated Tac 94.8 tone

Gotta run before I lose the WiFi signal from the neighbors. More stuff scribbled down and will post when I get home.
