Have received word that a few operators will be on 50.125 / 50.110 working from an old CH 2 transmitting antenna. Look for W7EEH, W7DTV (club call), W7OSN |

Putting the KATU antenna to good use I see. I'll fire up 50.125 at 11:00am. Unfortunately KCBS 2 here in LA is running a converter box PSA loop. Wonder if they will shut it down for a little fun. |

There was some ham in Newberg that because he had a rig with a bad front end, we were just overloading him and when he complained to us, he just did not get it we were fine, it was him. Here's a video of us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV2WF41O67s 500W into the KATU Batwing :P |

Good QSOs? 73 Yeah, we made contacts far north as Saskatoon, SK and far south as Tijauna, Mexico. East wise, we got far as Arizona while West was one oddball marine station off the Puget Sound. They are on right now too. |

6M SSB is way cool! Had the chance recently to go meet a friend of mine over from Spokane to do some DX'ing during the VHF QSO party. We set up on the southhill of Puyallup. There was a guy in Bellingham (maybe he'll read this) using what I believe was a Yaesu FT817 with the rubber duck antenna and he made a contact in the Los Angeles area using like 5 or 10 watts! |

Impressive. Best I did on 6 during the QP was Los Angeles to Colorado with 25 watts. Was hoping for a path up north but didn't find one. |
