I am getting ready to make a trip to Portland in the near future. I normally take my BC245xlt with me. I thought I recently saw on this site a reference to PDX having gone through rebanding. I can't locate it now. Does anyone know if PDX has completed rebanding. If so, I believe that makes my 245xlt obsolete for the greater PDX area.

Thank you for the reference. If I am reading correctly (sometimes questionable) my 245xlt should still work for monitoring the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire. Is that correct? Does anyone know, will this also apply to Valley Comm and the Seattle area?

Many thanks,

Just use simulcast site only, the 5 control channels, they haven't changed. A few of the BOEC Intellipeters were rebanded but I think most scanners work better when monitoring the simo sites.
