I've been watching this one for a while. Their 'new proposal' is a joke, not so much on technical grounds but because they describe their undeployed service as "vital". Oh please. Give me a break. Their service is not vital. If anything it is irrelevant. If it never saw the light of day the impact to the industry and population would be beyond negligible. The author(s) of that document have some ego/self-importance issues.

I hear the money behind "lightsquared" comes from "obamabuddies"...

Saw another article describing the behind-the-scenes "political lubrication"... What some people will do for money

If "satellite cellphones" were such a vital service, how come Iridium never got off the ground :?: :?: :?:
