you can do a search for the MR8100 and get it off of the web.

I have tried many google searches and have not been able to locate the schematic. All I can find is the operations manual which I already have. If you know where to locate it I would appreciate the help. Thanks

The power leads got accidently shorted. I have been able to repair the circuit board and have replaced a few diodes so it now scans again but I can't get any audio. I need the schematic to try and figure out where to go next. I ordered a service manual from Uniden ($32.95), it got lost in the mail so I don't know if it will help. Uniden is suppose to be sending me another manual.

ok, I have a bunch of them and I am quite familiar with the MR-8100, if you need one for parts I do have one available, did you check your audio amp with a scope or the speaker leads? What you can do if you have a service monitor is put the scanner on a frequency, generate a signal to the scanner and take a scope and checkout the the audio amp, if you see the wave on the input pin of the amp and nothing out then you have a bad audio amp... Also is your scanner recieving a signal?

How much are you asking for the one that can be used for parts? If the price is right I might be interested in both. Thanks for your help. I received a service manual from Uniden yesterday.
