Received a FTL1011-99 110W low-band, "B" version radio from eBay.

The radio works ... but can't read the programming from it...failed every time at about 60% done. Tried about 20 times.

I can push programming to this radio just fine with my setup.

Question:

In the CE7 programming, are the default settings for the First IF, prescaler, and Ref XTAL the same for all radios for that build and NOT based on prior programming and all the same for the same model? I would have preferred to read the radio, saved the .VTX file, copied it to a safe place, then edit on it and reprogram with it. But since I couldn't read the radio correctly I want to make sure I don't put in a screwy 'plug'.

Would it help to take another .VTX file from another one of these "B" radios and use it to edit on? Can one be provided to me if need be?

Also, for some reason the software wont allow me to toggle to low power.

Many thanks in advance.

-Kevin
