I'm looking for the after market value of a TK-8180 UHF. Or an NX-800 if those are even available used yet...

I got to playing with these at work and really like them.

Were these the 25 watt or 50 watt versions?

By after market I assume you mean used, I have seen them from a low of $175.00 (they don't last long at that price) up to around $400.00. For a good used one from a reliable source expect to spend around $250 to $325.00. That is for a 25 watt unit.

Beware of the lower priced units, Kenwoods have a read, and write password on it you can't program them at all. I purchased a lot of 9 of them not to long ago for $450.00 for all 9. They were from a Taxi company that went out of business. They had sold a few of them a lot higher price but the KW dealer who sold them had a read, and write protect password on them. That can be a pain to get around if you don't have the correct level of software (depot/engineering level) or good soldering skills (replace an EEPROM, and re-tune).

The TK-x180 is a GREAT line of radios IMHO.

I have not seen any used NXDN units yet. There are a lot of the Kenwood P25 units showing up on the used market though.
