I've looked before but I can't seem to find a good local supplier of copper wire (of various gauges)... does anyone know of any?

E.G. I'm looking to buy a short run of #6 (copper) for grounding my shack. But it would be nice to pick up #10 thru #20 AWG as well.

You'd think they have it right? Nope.

Try Graybar electric or Radar electric.

You can do what the tweekers do.......
Steal it from wherever... just kidding.

During that last big storm where the power was out for six days, part of the delay was due to the theft of new power line dropped off in the field for crews to use.

vetco stinks for anything any more but if you need coax they do have it, but they dont sell it by the foot only in crimped ends and spools. i wish they were the same company they were 8 years ago.

You won't get any complaints from me. They have nothing worthwhile there any more and their prices are incredibly high.

Then, the guy there tries to sell himself as a calculus teacher to my friend.

You probably already found the wire, but most people aren't aware that Alphatronics is still alive and well in Tukwila. (Used to be called Supertronics). They are located West and a little North of Costco (South Center store). Do a Google on Alphatronics Tukwila.

Another one is Windy City.
They are a wholesaler so are selling spools / boxes only.

They are located near where the old Boeing Surplus was on East Valley.

They specialize in Low Volt market, and have many different types of coax, etc...
