Camano Island Fire & Rescue has donated a surplus VHF MOTOROLA MICOR DC Tone Remote Base to the local Amateur Radio Group in the Stanwood / Camano area with the intent to enhance their signal coverage. They currently operate on 147.57 (simplex).
The HAMS will be looking for a duplex cavity / repeater controller to utilize in establishing a new VHF two meter repeater station., . . . provided they can get frequency coordination for a new pair. Any encouragement, donations, equipment, or insight would be appreciated. Contact Joe Thomas WA7JT,
