 Post subject: A longer line in Alaska

Quintillion is hard at work on our new fiber line (Tokyo to London, but landing here). Talked to one of the local Telco reps yesterday who showed me the terminus here; we're supposed to go live by the end of January, possibly mid-December if the weather holds off a little longer.

Someone want to translate 30-terabits for me in terms of speed? Anything beats the 1 mb/minute up and down we currently get.

That is a pretty impressive project.... seems like it would be a great opportunity to improve the infrastructure for the people in those communities.

We'll just go with the definition from the 2016 "Wil's Dictionary of Words That Confuse Wil":

Yes, "really really really f###ing fast" (as opposed to really fast) is somewhat analogous
