Eugene 01 (Central Office) Sadly, the dishes have been removed. Never seen a tower design like this anywhere else.
Some early photos. Wish I'd documented it before they removed the antennas.

The pair of horns on Blanton Hill go south to Harness Mt. Looks like the horns going to Peterson Butte and the dishes to Eugene01 have been removed. Eugene01 had links to Marys Peak, Blanton Hill, and Prairie Peak. |

There was a separate circuit that came down to Spores Point that at one time was operated by WTCI |

Interesting tidbit! Always figured Spores Point was strictly BPA Microwave TCI had a microwave tower on 10th and Garfield in Eugene at their former service center, but that tower is long gone. It was not TCI WTCI was a (TV) network link that ran from Seattle to Spores Point, and then also made another long trip down to Colorado In the early 90's they were trying to sell space as TV had moved to Satellite. I worked for an agency that almost bought a few channels for inter site linking (radio) |

WTCI was Western Microwave originally. TCI was formed as a merger between Western Microwave and Community Televison, and what became of the microwave common carrier system Western operated was renamed to WTCI, which I think TCI continued to own until the early 90s when it was spun off on its own. |
