I am new to the site and this may already be covered in another topic, if so im sorry. so here is my problem, i live in bedford IN. I am quite sure I know my attacker, but i am not sure how to get concrete proof. this person lives next to my brother who has had 11 phones hijacked by this person. Hey cannot even dial 911. i have a Acer Chrome book that is no longer a model that the company can identify. this person has control of my pc and is moving data, basically turned my pc into a server, parses out the signal, my router sais im not even conected to it.my wifes pc same way, basically anyone i come in contact with starts having same problems. i get spam texts to the point i cant hardly use my phone.I recieved 77 messages all spoofed numbers just this morning alone. I get them at 2, 3 4 a.m. My dads health isnt great, so i feel obligated to check messages when i get them, never know when he is going to have been taken to hospital again. your first thought may be what did i do to this guy to get this being done. honestly i havent done anything. as i said my brother lives next to this guy, i believe he is trying to get my brother to move so he can buy the property, this person has a repeater but is at the bottom of a holler, my brother is 3/4 s the way up the hill. he already ran off the only other neighbor by choking out there wireless and stealing there data every month. he has ruined 3 other laptops of mine and i have learned as much as i can in my spare time trying to keep him out but i dont believe i can keep him out . We do not have a cyber crime division in my county.. I swear this is not just ramblings of a mad man. im in my late 40's hold a full time job. married 25 yrs now, love my country but also like my privacy, and at this time i dont have any privacy because this person is in the background. lets me see what he wants to and keeps me from contacting my pc manufacturer, i cant print anything has that disabled. so anyhelp or guidance to help me aquire proof to get the person to stop would be greatly appreciated.

1. Landlines are your friend. If you don't have a landline, get one. Get your internet access through your landline. Use the firewall. Get a VPN. Don't know what it is? Look it up.
Can't look it up because internet access doesn't work? Go to the library. These moves isolates you from anything coming from outside. Only you say what comes in.

2. Really need a cellphone? Get a by-the-minute cheap flip phone. Don't text.

3. Turn off all wireless. All.

I understand what your saying, i have land line, but it goes thru router, and i have about the dumbest phone you can get. and yes i do need phone for work, as far as messaging goes why should i be deprived of my services because this guy wants to do illegal crap.And you might want to look into it more,,just because you turn wireless off doesnt mean crap. if its capable of recieving a signal it can be hacked even if you turn the power off. you physically have to remove the battery to keep it from being taken over. I pinged his call sign yesterday,, must not have liked that because he wiped my pc thats why i hadnt replied sooner .

*I* need to look into it more? You seem kind of clueless yourself. If wireless is off, it can't transmit, it can't receive. The router has a firewall and you can turn on. Is it on? If you had a VPN, you could hide behind it and be able to send and receive information yourself. They aren't too expensive. Some are even free. Do you know what one is? Better find out. What does "pinged his callsign" mean? I know what pinging is but how do you ping a callsign? If you turn off your pc when you aren't using it, it can't be "wiped" because it is turned off.
