I live in a county on the top 300 list, and have lived in other counties that were either on the list, or were next to a county on the list. Seen many interesting things in the sky, but have yet to determine if any were of extraterrestrial origin. Saw and heard on the airwaves a few craft that were experimental. Sikorsky likes to fly up the Naugatuck and Housatonic River valleys, and you often hear them on 123.125-123.575 MHz. along with some VHF-low and UHF Milair frequencies they are/were licensed on. Sometimes you'll hear pilots on 123.450 MHz. talking about odd stuff they see while in the air. Military pilots seem to prefer 138-144 MHz. (AM mode) when they want to talk off the record while flying.
