Is there anyone going from the board? I'll be there all 5 days, I would be open to a meet.

Also does anyone have any freq info?

I have some freqs from last year that I will dig out and post in the next few days.

I wish... Way back when I heard one of those racers took a Grumman Bearcat and stuffed a Wright Cyclone R-3350 (B29 engine) in the engine compartment. That would be something to see. I imagine it would kick ass over a Merlin, Griffon, or V1710.

Damn I wish I was going there
Ive been to the race/airshow in reno ...very cool to watch and listen to on the scanner.

Sorry dont remember any of the freqs that were used in 2004 when I was at the race.
best thing to do is search all the civ aviation freqs using your radios search mode...Im sure you'll come up with all the freqs you'll need to follow the race

various classes of aircraft are raced there... even small jet aircraft !

enjoy
it will be alot of fun
just a word of advice
it could be abit cold first thing in the morning at the race grounds... so bring a jacket.
Reno is higher up in elevation than las vegas ... so it does get cold even in september.

Ryan, just jump on 80 and drive east about 200 miles, SF is close enough, change you flight back from SFO to RNO. The Snowbirds will be there, with as much time you spend in Canada I would guess you may have seen them a time or two. Last year it was the Blue Angels so I was all set to monitor them after Seafair.

XJ.. I wish it was cold enough to need a jacket, I have never been on the filed there under 80 by the time I arrive (around 10:00) it has always been into the 90's and even triple digits by the end of the day. It is a bit warn for me.
