Some Motorola portable radios in the US have 27 VHF & 89 UHF channels pre programmed in radios.

Since Canada has different band plans than the US do Motorola portables in Canada come programmed with different frequencies? If so what are they?

popular business band freqs used in Canada by motorola CLS1413 radio users

http://www.lenbrook.com/motorola/pdf/CLS%20Spec2.pdf

old navy/gap/ various restaurants/london drugs all use these radios and pre-programmed freqs just the ctcss/dcs is different between users.

Ive also found afew users of motorola CLS1110/1410 radios too in various retail organizations.... apple stores for one.
http://www.weatherconnection.com/manuals/CLS1110.pdf

pages 39/40/41 for a list of freqs that can be programmed into both models

btw Costco here uses motorola business radios but not the cls series radio...a jobcom radio is also used at their central admin desk .
they operate on 469.26250 too same as the cls1413 radio .
a very common business freq ... and if you live in the city like I do,its just a mess of heterodyne communication if you listen to all users .. no ctcss

Thank you. Those are the same frequencies programed in the US Motorola radios (56).

The 458.6625 & 469.2625 in the CLS1413 may be different.

and who operates down in your area in these bands ???? :bowrofl:
there are time when I hear Bellingham PD get wiped-out by a low powered station up here on the same freq.... of course different ctcss or dcs but yeah never know who's programming the radios???

Don't worry, they are using a TONE!

458.6625 is a "CR" Canada Restricted" frequency. That means it can not be used above Line A.
The only users within Washington State are The Port of Tacoma - KUG-587 and Grays Harbor County -- WNVK-223.

The State of Washington tried to use 458.6625 in downtown Seattle -- which is above Line A but was
not granted ( WPZC-360 ).

Does anyone know if the Washington Convention Center is still using WPZC-360 -- which is expired ????

Amazed that more "small" "State, County, City - Government agency's or Departments first try to use PW channels when many more IG Business channels would work just fine or even better. Thanks for the info guys. Mike
