Thanks for the excellent list. I was looking last night around the scanning websites for Oly freqs. and couldn't find much. I'm not planning on joining the zoo across the border, but might find a mountain top to at least check in on what's going on.

I see Grouse listed, but no Cypress? Both should have a strong signal quite a ways south. I need to spend some time with TOPO and find a camping spot up high around Bellingham to the border.

I was up by Mt Vernon today killing time after dropping off my gf at the hospital for knee surgery. I had 3 hrs to kill, so loaded up all the Oly freqs. on my 346xt. Didn't hear too much, but did pick up some data channels and several ski patrol sigs on Cypress. Good signal on some, so it's possible to hear some thing if I get some elevation. Anyone up that way in Van picking up chatter?

I'm hearing ski stuff chatter on 162.9450 and some on 166.0350 from Monroe. I'm surprised I'm hearing anything at all. Need to get higher!.....:)

sorry

as far as comms at whistler ski hill are concerned.. the majority of comms are on 700mhz p25 trunked which I doubt you guys will be able to rcv down south.
same goes for alot of the event comms at cypress Mt.
if you've got the altitude, try searching the 763-767mhz range
in 6.25khz step sizes, you never know you might be able to rcv a a p25 Control channel ????

and again.. as far as police and ambulance comms, you wont hear any...either its gona be edac 800mhz provoice digital trunked or
P25 vhf / uhf encrypted.

Even you guys(gov) are not in the clear up here either :(

164.650 heard heavy p25 encryption on this freq the other day that belongs to?????? you guys should know that one :P
