Seems to have dropped off in recent years, especially with WSP. I used to hear district 5 from time to time on Boistfort and Green mtn but lately, not at all. Nothing on Capital. Unication G2 I did hear CBP on Gold recently but it was partially encrypted. |

I've been wondering about this lately as well. Down here in the "Couve", I was used to hearing WSP on IWIN daily all over the sites in Portland, sometimes Skamania. When I would travel to the coast (Seaside) I would hear them come up on Naselle. Lately I was thinking I had not heard them on anything but their normal P25 VHF system for quite a while. I used to hear Kelso on the Analog VHF all the time. When they went P25 nothing, except very occasionally on IWIN. They even tested a site on Rainier Ridge which actually came into this area, but nothing seems to have come of that. Bottom line, have they fallen off of using IWIN in lower District 5? Or perhaps simply disconnected whatever made it simulcast? |

It seems Capital Peak and Boistfort have been degraded in signal quality recently. It wouldn't surprise me if it gets turned off someday. I haven't made it over to E WA lately but WSP was active on Selah butte and occasionally Joe Butte. Seems with such limited coverage, it was an expensive toy. |
