I can’t recall where I read it… but someone mentioned a few years ago that the King County “Northwest” talk group was used, only occasionally, for dispatch in the Shoreline/Kenmore area and that most of that traffic is on the very busy “North” TG. That’s where I hear them too.

It seems to be true that those communities are on NW sometimes… at least to a certain extent… I think I’ve heard Shoreline and Kenmore dispatched there… but not often at all.

Lately, at least during the day, I’ve heard units on NW from all over the county including a traffic stop outside Auburn.

Does anyone have a clear definition of exactly how this TG is utilized? Is it a catch-all? That’s essentially what it sounds like to me now.

Thanks all!
