Don't know if it's related but VTAC-11 was busy today (from 11am - 5pm) with various air attack assets combating a particular fire. Someone had a 'bucket malfunction' and couldn't drop their payload. That later switched to an intermittent bucket drop. Comms were scratchy at best and you know pilots just love to mumble at low volume!

Given some transmissions had the 'shaky pilot voice' -- it might be these guys: https://twitter.com/WANationalGuard

One of the last transmissions for the day had some CW -- "NMG"

Just finally had a chance to check the radio logs from the Sumner Grade Fire:

122.925- WA DNR Air-to-Air. Bucket drops, media helos, WANG coordination, etc.

151.1375 (156.7) the same VTAC-11 traffic Nick mentioned.

151.2875 (103.5) WA DNR Air-to-Ground 2. Bucket drops, coordination, etc. (recording attached)

151.310 (103.5) WA DNR Tac-1

151.415 (103.5) WA DNR Common

159.270 (103.5) WA DNR Air-to-Ground 1.

Lots of the usual DNR repeaters- North Bend, Enumclaw and Eatonville.

167.475 (CSQ) USFS Air to Ground 41

168.650 (110.9) National Flight Following

And a few brief transmissions on the National Guard TGIDs on IWN, mostly concerning helicopter maintenance and flight following.
