In a historic moment for the PSERN Project, the team conducted its first successful test of the new PSERN radio system. The PSERN team has been working many long and intense hours towards this moment for over five years and this was the moment that told us the system works. The team has completed many milestones to get to this moment including project planning, numerous lease negotiations, council actions, construction of radio towers and cores (the brains behind the whole PSERN system), and overall long and difficult days worked to reach this moment. This would not have been possible without the diligence, dedication, and hard work of our staff and partners.

Somebody on the PSERN project wrote:
the PSERN Project achieved a significant milestone on October 22, 2020, when the emergency radio system core and 17 dispatch centers were successfully transitioned to the new PSERN core. Additionally, over 130 consoles were transitioned, which includes all the consoles at the King County Sheriff’s Office, Northeast King County Regional Public Safety Communication Agency (NORCOM), Seattle Fire Department, Seattle Police Department, and Valley Communications (Valley Com). All First Responders throughout King County are now being dispatched through the new PSERN consoles.

Did Appletree cove get a new antenna? I'm seeing these new white aircraft beacons that are like a camera flash from about 20 miles away at 300 feet elevation.

I’m hearing that once PSERN goes live, that most stuff scanner listeners listen to will disappear and not be able to be heard. Any truth to this?

Apple Cove is not a PSERN site. It is a Seattle, SNO911/SERS and was a CT site...
