Been out of the scanner loop for a while. Does anyone know what's now on 155.415 around the Tri-Cities? Used to be Pasco (or Franklin County) car-to-car simplex. Now all I hear, oddly enough, is what sounds like the Pasco airport tower.

Probably have a c/c tg on the Benton 800 system. I thought 155.4375 was the tower rebroadcast?

It must have only changed within the last few months. I was in the area this summer looking at a friend's Uniden HPatrol and writing down analog freqs that were still active. Mostly Pasco police, fire, and Walla Walla county agencies. 155.415 was still car-to-car. Just got some crystals for an old but almost mint condition Realistic Patrolman scanner I found at an estate sale (vintage radio fan), and I was mystified when hearing (what sounds like) an airport tower on 155.415. Thought my scanner or crystal was all jacked up. But that's not the case.

The VHF 151.22 is multicasting off the SECOMM 800 mhz system soon to be a bi-county 911 setup with a new name. But for all intent, Pasco PD is using the 800 P25 trunked system off sites across the river. I haven't been over there in awhile so dont know how much longer it will still have the VHF link for Pasco PD. I think the buildout for the rest of Franklin County on 800 MHZ is sometime later.
