Yeah okay I was using the 6.25khz channel. I did a search and it looks like 452.7375 is apart of Wiztronics's system up on Baldi Mtn @ 70w NXDN: http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSear ... ey=2374330

Okay thanks. Yeah I still need to go back and scour our previous findings.

This is pretty amazing. The UHF prop must be totally amazing right now as I'm getting signals from all over. I just found two new L2029 sites...

Updated my first posting again...

Tim, I tracked down the encrypted group TG=238 ...

http://www.pugetsoundexpress.com/things ... our-boats/
FCC License: http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSear ... ey=3794583

Hmm, another vessel on this TGID is owned by San Juan Cruises --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Star_2

I guess they figure their whale-watching is secret info! :P

PS. I'm getting the most traffic (at least today) on 454.05 which is only 2 bars for me on the scanner but DSD+ is doing a decent job of decoding just fine... (I think you noted this as .05625 but per SDR# it's definitely 454.05...)

Went on a whale watching cruise out of Bellingham a couple of months ago on an Island Mainer boat the Island Clipper.

Had my scanner monitoring all the marine channels and on close call. Didn't get any hits. I asked the tour guide if they used radios for spotting comms and he told me they had a secret channel. Now we know it was NXDN. Probably on Wiztronics system.

Yep no doubt Jim. From the data I'm gathering, it looks like it's definitely an 'associated' group of businesses that offer tours, VIP trips, etc... and I'm guessing some of the units are just spotters to tell the PV where to go for the best results.

I just happened to jump on the radio about 12:30 or so... and around 1pm I started seeing quite a few affiliations and now the encrypted traffic has been non-stop since.

Are Whislers and Wiztronics associated with each other? They're both up in Bellingham...

There are 3 companies involved.

Wiztronics Bellingham

Whisler Communications Olympia http://whislercomm.com/

and one in Canada which escapes me right now.

The Canadian company has freqs down at 406 which is why you will find people using the system have wideband antennas on their vehicles.

I connected to the Canadian sites when in Sequim and along 101 to Disco Bay.

Make it 4 companies involved. There are 2 channels on the air on Mission Ridge in our building and 4 in Moses Lake, installed by Wiz but we have access to it.

If the channels and site information is programmed in their radio yes they can roam to a Canadian site, eh. Users have to be buying the 400-470 split mobiles of course but it's possible.

Here's an updated list of NXDN sites for the Puget Sound NXDN RAN that I've confirmed. Please don't distribute this list outside of Intercept. This information takes *hours* to collect. If RR wants the info then let one of their people do the work.

If you have a Uniden 436/536 or SDS-100 scanner then you can input this information and the scanner will track the NXDN trunk. (Obviously you need the NXDN paid upgrade for this to work!)

If you have a Whistler TRX-1 or TRX-2 scanner then you can just input the frequencies and RAN codes into a NXDN trunked system. The TRX scanners do not follow the control channel.
