It would be great if Snohomish County streamed their Live Fire Dispatch like Seattle Fire Live 911 Fire Dispatch and other major Dispatch organizations in the country. With this streaming comes other companies who will tweet or push Filter alerts to subscribers and their smart phones.

SERS has NOTHING to do with this.... SERS is strictly RF and not CAD. If you want this, I would suggest contacting SNOPAC http://www.snopac911.us/ and SNOCOM http://www.snocom.org/. This might be something already in the works once they get New World Systems CAD going http://snoproject.com/Index.html

It doesn't have to come directly off CAD. Yes, the comm centers would need to buy into it, but I imagine what you're looking for is also on the VHF paging.

Somebody like Nuclear Burrito should be able to decode the paging stream and get it onto Google Maps. Unless he's out licking buses again.

SFD has the website Real Time 911 and they also Tweet all their calls. And with that comes aftermarket programs that will send text to your phone or email with filters so if you only want to receive Fire In A Building that is what you will receive.

You seem pretty dead set on a commercial solution, so I'd recommend you take this up with each comm center governance board, since they have no official representation here, at all.

Or, you hang back and see if this board's members become compelled to hack and slash a solution together, which will probably do the same thing as a commercial solution. Now, I don't know most of these guys very well, but my bet is on this board getting it done before the others; Sean gives me the impression that this thermonuclear burrito fellow is pretty savvy with the POCSAG and the GIS.

I am just thrilled this stareted some dialog! I just wanted to see other members thoughts? You may not have the scanner on and it would be nice to get a text and then turn on the scanner.
