I have heard from friends that Seattle Fire is getting new radios soon. Are they just upgrading the Sabers or are they changing for another reason?

They are upgrading as Motorola has discontinued the Saber line.Some of the stations already have the new portables and they are the Motorola XTS 5000.I heard they are more user friendly but I will ask some of my SFD buddys how they like them.

We just recently switched to the XTS 5000 and they are very user friendly and very nice radios.
