Buddy of mine likes to monitor Island Co. Sheriff office.
He asked me a couple of days ago what a "Title 10" was.
I asked him in what context is it used and he tells me it's used when a subjects name is ran.
For example the dispatcher will say to the officer "This subject has two Title 10's".

Google did not yield any result.

Anyone?

Context like that I'd guess warrant.

Crap. I had the term wrong. It's "Title 10".
I'll edit my first post.

But ya I agree with you that was my first thought.
I asked him if he ever heard the officer then ask to confirm the "Title 10". He said he had not.

And while I was typing this response I heard this very radio communications occur. Sure enough the officer asked if it was "extraditable".
So ya, it's police jargon for a warrant.

Doesn't WSP still use Title 10 as well?

Not sure. I don't monitor WSP at all.

Yeah, it seems to be related to level of the warrant. A sideways way of telling the LE that he's standing next to a no-goodnik.

Ping'ed a friend who monitors WSP a lot. Says that he does hear this term every once and a while.

Unless something has changed, that might mean registered sex offender or that the offender
is in the "wrong" area.
That was the common use of the term a few years ago.

It refers to a warrant anywhere around here.
M mary or F frank. Missed the weenier or Felony.
