Post subject:  Re-Banding of 800 mhz / affecting uniden scanners

This should be interesting when this goes into effect. what does everyone think?? Supposedly it will make many of the uniden scanners obsolete when it comes to trunking 800 motorolla systems. Starting april 2006... if all stays on time. Should be interesting for Seattle comms...

This area (Seattle) is in "Wave 4" of the Concensus plan. It's not expected to start happening for at least 30 months....I would bet even longer.

The older trunking scanners will become obsolete. The newer ones may be flash-upgradable.

I heard on the Ham freqs today that King County might be going to the 700 mhz band. Does anybody have any info on this?
