Hey all - happy Friday.

Does anyone happen to know how Bellevue PD call signs are structured. I've got the district map, but I'm not really seeing how call signs map to it.

Many thanks

All I ever hear is "BOY-xx" and "K9-xx"

From memory:

<WATCH> <SECTOR> <BEAT>

Ex. 1B (First watch, BOY, <NO BEAT> = Shift supervisor)

Certain BEAT numbers have specific meanings/unit... and don't necessarily correspond to an area.

Adam = Detectives?
Boy = Bellevue PD
Charlie = Clyde Hill PD
Mary = Medina PD
Nora = Newcastle PD

If you hear units that I didn't get then list them here and we can probably figure them out.

Thanks, that seems to jibe with what I'm hearing, although I believe Newcastle is a KCSO contract city - although perhaps KCSO rides under the banner of Bellevue PD in Newcastle?

Newcastle is indeed a KCSO contract city, but they are the Henry 2 units on KCSO SE air.

"A" Units (i.e. 2A1, 2A67, 4A3) are "additional" shifts, added for Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Monday morning.

No "Nora" units on NORCOM air.

There are "Ida" units (for Mercer Island), and "King" units (for Kirkland). Those two cities are on NC Police 2.

Brad.
