Nope, no digital. Just analog scanners and until now they were all that was needed here. The county is getting ready to dump a bunch of money into a new radio system and I'm affaid they are going to end up with something that is not going to work well here. Klickitat county has tough topography for radio. |

Klickitat county has tough topography for radio. It's going to be regional (the other sites are in OR) so you'll have (5) sites which should provide enough coverage for the area. At least now you have a reason to buy a PSR-800... ;) I may swing over that way for a weekend visit -- when it's much warmer. :) |

I just don't see the need for a digital system here. I think VHF trunked would work good here. And I don't see a site in OR being able to get a reliable signal into the Klickitat River Canyon. |
