The past few nights I've been hearing what sounds like an ambulance dispatch on 155.220 with a ctcss tone of 173.8 hz. Some of the calls have been to Lakewood locations, including the Regal Cinemas just after 1AM this morning. Seattle AMR dispatch on the same freq using ctcss tone 103.5 hz seemed to be having some co-channel interference. I don't see any current EMS licenses for that freq in the Tacoma area, although a few school districts have valid licenses. Any thoughts as to who this is?

The plot thickens.

KWH567 is the current AMR (formerly Shepard and Shepard/Lifefleet) dispatch for Seattle and the rest of King County on VHF. AMR Seattle also is licensed for 800 Mhz under callsign WNIC341.

What I have been hearing sounds like AMR dispatching the Tacoma area, using the same lingo as the Seattle dispatch.

As stated previously I had not heard them until a few days ago.
I used to hear the former Shepard Tacoma dispatch on that freq but that was 30 yrs ago.

The closest CURRENTLY LICENSED AMR site that I can find is in Federal Way but it's not licensed for 155.220.
And of course AMR dispatch NEVER ID's by voice and there is no auto CWID.
I'm not up to speed on the Part 90 regulations that state how often or when a station ID's, but it seems like there might be a violation or two going on.

AMR was going to shut down it's Tacoma dispatch center and lay off staff.

Perhaps one AMR dispatcher in Seattle is transmitting on a remote site covering Tacoma and is sometimes interfering with another AMR dispatcher in Seattle on the Capitol Hill site?

They run simplex off the Federal Way site, so no CWID necessary.
