Anyone have an internet source for someone that will make custom coax cables at a reasonable price?

I'm looking for a 10' SO-239 to SMA Female using LMR-100.

I can find them in 3' lengths but need longer.

Thx.

if they don't have it listed, email them and they can make it.

Or get one of your "intercept buddies" with coax ferrule presses to make one up for you

Unfortunately the company mentioned above is unable to fulfill the request.
So I'm still looking.

Try Cable X-perts (http://www.cablexperts.com). I've used them before. They will do custom size assemblies. In the past their prices have been pretty reasonable.

Thanks. I just sent them an email.

CableXperts is usually quick (< 14 days to WA) and they do very good work; however, their prices have gone up in recent years and their shipping is very slow (since they're east coast and they only use UPS ground.) FYI, they do not use "name brand" coax unless you specifically ask...

A lot of the HAM community loves these guys, but I haven't done business with them: http://www.rfparts.com/coax.html

I have tried a couple of other companies who said they can complete custom orders "quick" but took over 2 months to get an order. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with them and told them as much. You couldn't cancel or return custom orders either.

Thanks, i just emailed them.

Getting a custom cable made has become a bit more of a challenge than what I first thought.

Have you tried any local shops?

Hardware Specialty Co. on Harbor Island in Seattle has a surplus area and they have different lengths of cable or odd colors. I have sourced a lot of cable and boxes for cheap. Get a crimper and the connectors and D-I-Y

Nope. Was not all that interested in driving around to maybe find a cable.
Finding someone on the internet to build me a cable in the config I need has proven to be quite the task.

One person did respond back and say they would build it for 29+shipping. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to pay 30 or so dollars for a 10 foot cable. Uggg.

Tessco wants close to $100 for a 6 foot jumper. $30 is cheap. Id be more worried about seeing them test it while I looked on.

Damn. The copper gold plated?
I can't convince myself to spend 30+ on a 10' cable when the whole radio cost 50.

Cables with either PL-259 or SO-239 on each end can be had pretty easy. Then use an adapter to SMA female. Yeah I know, it will add to the line loss. I'll prob go this route.

Thanks for all the input from everyone.
