Ditto.
The Car to Car stuff is a little off, but the 'Area' Freq's are acurate.
Anyone, Car 1, Car 2, Car 4?
Car2= Wenatchee, Car4= 155.460?
Someone surely has the car to car stuff down.
.460 went to E-Burg to Kenw for car to car. Not same PL as Seattle.

After each WSP District Office (DO) "area" frequency is converted over to mobile relay - repeater mode --- there will no longer be a need for a special car to car frequency. WSP units will then just use the local dispatch channel -- simplex - for local car to car. This will allow all units to hear the local Dispatcher and car to car on one channel and any other Special channel through a second receiver. That is the way the system was to work when designed years ago. You can't have units just wondering around from channel to channel -- or you will never be able to get in touch when and as you need the units. Every WSP mobile radio will have every radio frequency installed -- so its possible that any unit could use any frequency at any time. Each WSP Office can only broadcast on their local "AREA" channel as well as "State", LERN, and Nalemars, (155.97, 155.37 and 155.475).

:D 155.46 and other frequencies -- that are now being used as "car to car" channels today - could be changed tomorrow. 155.46 might be needed as an input to new Area Dispatch repeaters. It is one of only a few frequencies that are availible for such use - statewide.

Post subject:  M/A Com

I was at the Bellevue District WSP Office radio shop today, and got to see the mobile M/A Com radio. The head looks a lot like other GE/Erickson stuff that's out there.

According to the tech's there, they have fielded a couple of the mobile radios in recent months, and are testing out the programming - to see if the troopers like the channel arrangement/feature selection/button programming, and to work out a couple of other issues. When the field testing of these few radios is done, they will do the agency-wide programming and begin installation.

Oh...and, they apparently were only able to purchase about 400 of the new M/A Com portables...so, the Kenwoods aren't dead yet....

And another thing....WSP South (154.680) is going repeater real soon, as is Bellingham area....

Brad.
