MotoTRBO, that is. Couldn't have been any easier. Connect the d-tap to the mic port, open DSD, wait for people to talk.

Only trick I needed was the -xr option to tell DSD to expect inverted TRBO. Wouldn't decode without it, but with the option it still doesn't decode fully:

This is 461.4625. It's quite active. Of everyone that's licensed I only see one that is licensed for TRBO--MasterPark. They're too far away for me to be getting a five watt base, so I have no idea what I'm hearing.

35 watts out of Des Moines? Doubt it.

I can't tell if you're being facetious.

It was just gibberish when I downloaded it. Think they're utilizing the encryption?

Yeah, gibberish is exactly what I'm hearing. It does not sound like P25 enc.

Perhaps someone with a TRBO radio (installed or not) would like to use their radio to listen in and see if they're getting the same. And I need to find some more TRBO.

I think we deduced a while back that the Bravern in Downtown Bellevue uses MotoTRBO.

There are videos on YouTube of people using DSD to decode TRBO. I would post a link if I wasn't on my phone right now. So even though Jim posting that link that TRBO can't be monitored, it can.

History Museum is on Trbo, encrypted. Few processing plants around here are Trbo too.

Yes, I remember. Which one(s) in particular? I assumed you committed them to memory.
