Bill McCafferty, W7UZB SK
I'm posting this here because Bill ran an Amateur Radio BBS at about the time N7GAD ran Scanner BBS in Seattle. I figure there was some overlap between the two user bases. He was also a worker for BN so may have provided the railroad fans with information.
Bill passed away this last week. He was 74. He lived in the Ballard neighborhood his entire life and had five children. He was active in the Puget Sound Repeater Group (PSRG) as well as other community activities. His last years were spent living in assisted living in Everett but getting out as often as he could to ride the bus all over Snohomish County to see what there was to see and to meet the people who were there to meet.
I met him at his home a few times and traded some equipment with him. He was a great guy and will be missed.
