TACOMA – A catastrophic scenario unfolds Wednesday at the Tacoma Narrows bridges, putting emergency responders to the test. But in the end, it will be just that – a test.

Both bridges will remain open during the planned multi-agency training exercise, but travelers should be prepared for visual distractions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, as the teams converge on the westbound bridge to practice response techniques during a crisis.
