I've been threatening to do this for awhile, so here goes. This thread is for posting that damn freq that mystifies you....What is it? Who is that talking on it? Where are they?

Others can chime in if they know, or have a good idea of what the mystery is.

You get the drift.

I'll start off:

151.730 Some sort of digital modulation, heard in northern Pierce County. Not the REI warehouse, nor the Clover Park school district. I can hear it from all over, so it's either a remote mountaintop base or repeated.

My guess is that it would be the Clover Park Schools MotoTRBO system...

But thats an half way educated guess without listening...

Are we sure it's TRBO? I was informed (need to get out that way) it was narrow analog.

Also, they list 11K2F3E, not 7K60FXE...?

No Im not...

They also list 11K2F1D so theres a clue... I haven't had the opportunity to do a digital system yet so Im not as familiar with licensing and tech as others might be...

Im planning on being out today so will pull the IFR out and give a listen later...

I'll add one:

154.755 (127.3) Cleaning off the desk today and throwing away/combining scribbled notes and came across that one. Only licensed to KNAQ628 in Yakima County. Don't remember what it was or who it was, just had it scribbled down. Anyone else or anybody else come across that one or any others in that license that we don't already know?

currently WSP car 3. Union County SO in Oregon as well. Maybe that's where the 127.3 tone comes from.

I wonder what district(s) they use that freq for car-car. I doubt its a statewide tac since Bellingham dispatches on the same freq.

I think Dist 3 uses car 1? with occasional area tone. I believe 154.755 is Union County or somewhere close as they mention La Grande. I pick it up in the eastern gorge so I wonder if Goldendale units use another c/c? as they seem silent on Car 3 there.

Whatcom Co WSP uses 154.935 (car to car Ch 4) as their car to car.

Whatcom Co WSP uses 154.755(141.3) output with an input of 155.250 for
Dispatch & Patrol.

I don't think the tone of 127.3 is used by WSP or wasn't at one time.

Enlightening...Wonder why it carries so much damn traffic all the time? Good footprint; I was getting it 5x5 in Sumner with a ducky antenna earlier today.

406.500 (NAC 293) anyone? I think it's the VA in Lakewood.

I don't know a thing about Trbo, but suppose it would be wise to learn.

I wonder if it has a control channel?
Well in a sense it must, as it is TDMA.Correct me if I am wrong, but subscriber units in a TDMA system must have a "clock" / a time master (as it is time divided).

I wonder if it is in a constant carrier mode, with or without traffic?

http://wwcic.org/wwcic_2-10.html Old Business.

I looked up any other licensing I could find for them and only found a 5 watt vhf set of freqs and a lowband freq.

My guess is that they have the wrong designator on that particular license.
